Marion Barber did very well as the backup to Renaldo Works last season, but the team has realized is Works is a third down back at best. Barber will be the guy getting the majority of the carries in 2007 and new head coach Rich Rodriguez couldn't be happier.

"We felt that Marion was the back we are looking for and Renaldo is effective when you put the ball in his hands but is not a #1 back in our eyes." We look at him as both a runningback and a fullback."
